Cala Violina
Cala Violina is a cove in the Grosseto Maremma, in the municipal area of Scarlino, which opens onto the Tyrrhenian Sea within the Bandite di Scarlino nature reserve.
The cove is enclosed between the two headlands of Punta Martina to the north, which divides it from Cala Martina, and Punta Le Canne to the south. The white sand that characterizes the beach has also given the cove its name, in reference to the sounds that it “emits” when it is stepped on by those who cross it, in the absence of significant sound sources. It can be reached on foot via a 30-minute route through the woods bordering the sea.
